Plushie Care Tips

Plushie Care Tips

1. Regular Dusting

  • Use a soft brush or a lint roller to gently remove dust and debris from the surface of your plush.

2. Spot Cleaning

  • For small stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap or baby wipes. Gently dab the affected area without rubbing too hard.

3. Hand Washing

  • Fill a basin with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Gently submerge the plush and swish it around. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and squeeze out excess water (avoid twisting).

4. Machine Washing (If Allowed)

  • Check the label first! Place your plush in a pillowcase or laundry bag to protect it. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent.

5. Drying

  • Air drying is best. Lay your plush flat on a towel and reshape as needed. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.

6. Brushing Fur

  • If your plush has longer fur, you can gently brush it with a wide-toothed comb or a dedicated soft brush to keep it smooth and tangle-free.

7. Storing

  • Keep your plush away from direct sunlight, humidity, and extreme temperatures. Store in a dry place, or in a breathable bag to avoid dust buildup.

8. Avoid Harsh Chemicals

  • Never use bleach or strong cleaning agents, as they can damage the fabric and colors.

9. Stuffing Maintenance

  • Over time, some plushies may lose their shape. You can carefully open the seam and add more stuffing, then stitch it back up.

10. Handling with Care

  • Hug them gently and avoid pulling on their limbs or features to prevent tears or damage to their seams.
